What made you choose dentistry as a career?
I have always loved science and working with my hands creating things. Dentistry lets me do both everyday.
What is your philosophy of dentistry?
How do you want patients to feel when they leave your office?
I would like to practice the most up to date techniques in a comfortable environment. I would like them to feel comfortable and relaxed.
What do patients get from your practice that they would not get somewhere else?
The team approach to health care.
What do you like most about dentistry? What do you like least?
I like the ability to instantly change someone by either relieving pain or correcting pathology. Dealing with insurance companies is my least favorite thing.
What are your interests outside of work?
Dr First likes to play Hockey, Golf, Fishing, Scuba Diving and Wine Collecting when he is not performing Oral Surgery.

My son had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. First and he was amazing made my son and I feel so welcome and comfortable and walked us through step by step before and after the procedure. The staff went above and beyond assisting me from day 1 and over the next few days on what to do and what to expect. Now I see the reasons why my dentist recommended Suffolk Oral Surgery Associates. They treat you like family! I would recommend anyone who needs oral surgery to go here it was a real pleasure. I would give more than 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
